Recently, our company has completed combustion verification tests for the SFFF synthetic fluorine-free foam concentrate series against UL and FM international standards. This foam concentrate series has obtained UL Listing certification.
UL and FM are highly authoritative evaluation systems in the global industrial fire protection sector. They impose stringent requirements on foam concentrate’s physical and chemical indicators, expansion ratio, drain time, fire control & extinguishing performance, burnback resistance, high-low temperature adaptability and system compatibility. The full test consists of laboratory physicochemical tests and real pan fire tests: on one hand, physicochemical parameters such as freezing point, viscosity and storage stability are tested; on the other hand, standard fire pans are set up to simulate Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires, to evaluate extinguishing speed, foam sealing performance and burnback resistance, placing demanding requirements on formulation and manufacturing process.
Successfully passing the verification and obtaining the listing certificate is the outcome of our team’s continuous R&D efforts and repeated product optimization. This achievement demonstrates that our SFFF fluorine-free foam concentrates deliver performance at an internationally leading level.
The products covered by this testing program include 3% and 6% SFFF (Synthetic Fluorine-Free Foam) concentrates. Available packaging options include 25 kg pails, 200 kg industrial drums, and 1,000 kg IBC containers. These products are suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including chemical industrial parks, coal chemical facilities, power plants, oil depots, and fire protection projects.
Building on the results of this verification, our two fully automatic production lines for UL-listed foam concentrates are scheduled to be completed in one month. Full-scale production can commence upon passing the UL follow-up audit. The production lines adopt high-precision automatic batching and closed mixing systems, with locked formulations and traceability across the entire production chain. They ensure consistent product quality in mass production and reliably meet UL requirements for production control.
This UL/FM benchmarking verification test marks an important practice for our products to align with high international standards. Leveraging the first-hand data obtained from this mass-production verification, we will keep refining formulation details, accelerate the FM certification application process, and provide industrial fire-protection clients—both domestically and internationally—with stable, reliable, and comprehensive fluorine-free foam extinguishing agent solutions.
